This elegant 1902 Georgian Revival was begging for a total overhaul, and the kitchen was no exception. The new kitchen is a contemporary take on a timeless aesthetic, drawing inspiration from classic motifs and natural materials. It feels original to the house but has contemporary amenities. A large center island forms the centerpiece of the kitchen. The double-thick Carrara marble slab evokes classic styling and gives the kitchen a sense of permanence. A decorative fireplace mantle was moved to the living room to make space for a cooking center with an oversized range and custom hood, which has a circular motif that carries throughout the house’s décor. It is a kitchen that’s meant to be lived in and not just admired, for a family to be together and to entertain. As the leaves are falling and the temperatures are dropping, we have been busy contributing to the kitchen renovation of a two-story Lakeville home. The homeowners wanted to remove the kitchen’s peninsula to help prevent it from breaking up the space. Instead they wanted one large gathering area, increased storage, and seating for up to six, without needing to rely on the dining room table. To help remedy the family’s storage woes, we added five feet of beautiful pantry space. In addition, we installed a small entertainment center. The homeowners added style and warmth to the kitchen with a combination of great colors and unique textures. The family chose the Chesapeake style door in a cherry cayenne finish. To compliment their cabinet choices, we installed Cambria countertops in the Canterbury design. The end result was a warm and inviting room much better suited to the family’s needs!

The new kitchen in its entirety, the hickory reface done to this kitchen is compimented wonderfully by the reclaimed boxcar flooring countertops along with their granite backsplash and intersecting countertop. Along with new appliances it really showed well with the contradicting modern stainless and rustic hickory.
