The artwork location was pre-determined, but the art iself took a few years to find the right piece. It just so happened to be that the right one was painted by the cabinetry and custom furniture fabricator in this home.
The Dining Room is in the entry with the piano. Great for entertaining. The light fixture is suspended by an individual Stainless Steel rod that is set into one of the beams above.

THE MEETING OF MEDITERRANEAN NATURE AND DESIGN
This luxurious garden has a strong Mediterranean character, but is daring with its elements of grand design. The paving which depicts curious snails on the cobbles, the original and modern furnishings, and the swimming pool, also entirely designed by Stefano Filippini, using sought-after materials and shapes, frame this Mediterranean corner from where you can enjoy a 360° view over Lake Garda.

We opted for a glass railing with hidden standoffs making the space feel more open. The lucite handrail with satin brass accents gives the stairwell a touch of glamour.
Jarrods Staircases
Our brief for this new monolithic staircase was to look more like a piece of art than a staircase. The staircase sits in a Grade 2 listed building and complements the period interior beautifully! The once old makeshift staircase which accessed the former servant’s quarters of the property was transformed to give them access to the loft space which they had totally renovated. After sitting down with the Donohoe’s and looking through mood boards, we came up with this design and colour wash. The substrate of the staircase was made from solid oak with our new arctic white wash finish, giving it a clean, fresh Scandinavian look. What do you think?

The staircase, especially, where flowing, organic lines of polished steel and palisander create a glorious fusion that I think is a new modern classic, and a hallmark of this project.
