We treated the house like a jewel box, adding back the architectural detail of the era that had been stripped away. The owner, a successful single professional woman and Silicon Valley executive, wanted a colorful, feminine home that was warm and inviting without being too fussy or frilly.

Their charming Craftsman influenced farmhouse was remodeled to take advantage of their pastoral views, bringing the outdoors inside. Sutton Suzuki ArchitectsThis plantation-style, slightly asian, ocean front home was designed with leisure and comfort in mind. This home is distinctly modern but gives the feeling of being in Hawaii in a different time - modern yet firmly rooted in the Hawaiian vernacular. The textures and colors borrow from the warmth of the landscape.

Dunlap Design Group, LLCWe envisioned this space as a “mid-century” modern garden room. These vintage furniture pieces my clients have collected were placed with the idea of lounging or playing cards. The drapery is one of our favorite designs…we used green netting for the panel, and we hand made green leather loops to mount them to the steel rods. We love clients who are willing to do the unexpected.
