This husband and wife architect team were looking for a meticulously well planned kitchen for the homes addition. Keeping the footprint of the existing kitchen was the challenge since the space was narrow and long. The custom cabinetry took advantage of every inch of space with extra tall cabinets. A unique light rail was created to house LED undercabinet lighting and the custom panels in the doorways allow the space to flow through the adjacent rooms. A glass countertop and backsplash reflect light throughout the space. Overall the new space is sleek and contemporary but in keeping with homes square lines. Midcentury modern kitchen with a twist. Schoolhouse style walnut counter height chairs along a white quartz floating island. Teal banquette pops a bit of color in the banquette. Flooring is a herringbone tile in a warm gray.

This open plan kitchen is a mix of Anthracite Grey & Platinum Light Grey in a matt finish. This handle-less kitchen is a very contemporary design. The Ovens are Siemens StudioLine Black steel, the hob is a 2in1 Miele downdraft extractor which works well on the island.

When a home of this calibre exudes the creative blood of it’s designer, like this one, it is nothing short of magical. This high end Hamptons inspired home has gained notoriety as the “Red Hill House” and is one of the top renovations in Queensland at this time. Lena Gatti of Gatti Design created the entire interior of the home, including spacial planning and layout to maximise the space available, and custom designed each detail right down to the furniture and cabinetry.
