The custom half-circle window in the eating area is a unique focal point that drowns the kitchen in morning light and gives uninterrupted views of the backyard. The wall in front of the window was doubled, so that the surrounding sheetrock could be returned into the window with a rounded corner bead. This, combined with the arched entry and barreled ceiling, gives the area a real Colonial feel, as if it was original to the home. The built in bench provides extra cozy seating.

Bohemian Breakfast Nook with Chandelier and Graphic Throw Pillows
A bistro-style table for two brings Old World style to this breakfast nook. A built-in banquette provides plenty of extra seating for family and friends. Tudor-style windows fill the space with light, and a chandelier adds extra sparkle and style.

The Walton Barn project has undergone a large scale renovation including the main kitchen area where the clients wanted to create a classic contemporary kitchen with dining space for 4-6. As the barn renovation included a separate dining room, the clients preferred not to have another formal dining table in the kitchen so we designed this L-shape kitchen with an island incorporating banquette seating and the Langham table, providing an everyday dining area.
