I think the 9' area should be devoted to a library/reading nook with bookcases on the two walls and a comfy chair and floor lamp for reading. I see lots of doors but no windows in your space. The stretch of space from the entry to the balcony/gallery should be kept open for traffic flow, so Place the FP on the 7.5' wall to be seen upon entering. I think 'd try a sectional with two equal wings. Put the TV on the 7' wall between the two doors and float the sofa so one wing faces the FP and the other the TV. Use a credenza 25% wider than the TV rather than a TV stand. In the jog that has a 6' and a 4' wall, try a family game or chess table and stools. Be sure to get a big coffee table made of reclaimed wood so people can put their feet up on it.

Regarding the size of green belt, I have confirmed it from the patwari that Plot 1 has got 5 metre green belt on both sides. He told me that: All plots with 24 metre facing road are having 5 metre green belt whereas plots with 12 metre facing road are having 2.5 metre green belt. (It's 4 or 3.5 metre in case of 18 metre road, I don't remember exactly). About that bold line, I am sure that it is not representing width of green belt. (Check below image as that bold line is having same width for 12 metre facing plots). So what do you think now? Should I become that lucky guy to own plot 1? Check out whole map and there are hardly 3-4 corner plots which are having 24 metre wide road on both sides. (and there are just 2 plots having North East direction) whereas there are around 50-55 plots which are similar to Plot 2nd. About your query, It's Suncity Township - I (Sector 35, Rohtak). It's around 45 kilometres away from Delhi border. Would you please mind elaborating this point a little bit more - "For us function prevails over design anyday". Hi Harsh, The space looks wonderful and it has a very good length and height. First of all, if you are looking at modifying your the room, I will suggest to get rid of the cove ceiling and have a flat ceiling with trendy track lights. For a room of this length, I will prefer to do a dark color/texture as the backdrop of the bed with a short headboard. In perspective, the wall will look stunning. You can make a Jaali partition in middle( center of the room) and mount your TV on it with a nice small console underneath. Behind the Jaali you can mount a mirror with a dressing table. hey Anuja, can you share you room dimensions? I'll see if my idea fits or not. Sometimes updating a space is as simple as painting the walls and re stranding the furniture. you have a brilliant source of light in your doors and windows, I would suggest that you use it to your advantage. add a wallpaper (there are lots of companies, focus on your price range) and yes definitely add more lights.
