I would break it up into various rooms, approximately 10 feet by 15 feet each, though a longer one with a long narrow (2 feet?) water feature against the wall and seating and plants in the center part would work. Plants on the wall, making it vertically green. A path leading from room to room should jog, so you cannot see straight through. Change the theme of rooms, large fancy pottery, an outdoor dining area, sunbathing area if possible.

OK... but the wire wont be lower as it is fixed now. The wire in the pics below is the wall facing each other. They were leveled on equal height but the beam on one wall makes it seem a little above. But i think you guys are absolutely right that up and down lights wont look good there. I think you are right about down lights lessismoore. Would it look good if i go with two different lights on opposite walls??? it would look odd right.

Yogender Sharma To make a grass cover, the first thing you will need to ensure if whether the structure of the half basement is capable to holding a green roof. The next would be to waterproof the top again, keeping in mind the soil and the constant contact with water. Once these things are done, you need to locate were it is you want the lawn and ensure you have access to a drainage within or at best near it the area. You will then require the services of a horticulturist to help you set up the lawn. In terms of cost, it really depends on quite a few factors Existing condition of the structure Location Quality of Horticulturist Type of Green Cover etc....

Hi Ankur, I don't think hanging anything over the db is a good idea since there is no breathable space behind the door. the only available space would be equal to the size of the door stopper. Keeping this in mind the shelves would either be too narrow or the door would hit against the shelves perpetually. I would suggest go for a pvc shutter for the db and cover the wall and the db shutter with wallpaper keeping in mind that the shutter should be open able.
