How to place sectional? Long living / dining room
Comments (5)#1 is the only one that works with your doorways. But I would rethink the sectional pieces which look too large. You will need at least a floor lamp. Your table/chairs looks narrow in relation to your sectional - is it to scale in the drawing? You may not have enough room. I would use a sofa against the wall and two chairs on either end facing toward each other....See Morehow to improve a small space
Comments (9)Hello Bhawana, This place is designed in a good manner. Only thing which could be looked into is the width of the bathrooms. Its a bit on the higher side cutting that will give additional space in the rooms. Pooja Unit can come on the wall of the dressing area. Sink may not be required as the bath sink is already close by to the dining. You would need to store the shoes vertically in a sleek unit as there is not much space for that. Comments (8)Hi Kiran, Before you place any furniture here, you should rethink the existing layout. I would eliminate the 3 internal walls around the puja room, and convert the areas of the living, puja, dining and kitchen, into a singular larger space. This is simply for better air circulation and overall aesthetics of the flat - to make it feel larger. You will now have an open kitchen - which can be shut by either a glass sliding folding partition, or with a half wall with a breakfast bar. You can use furniture smartly to create privacy for individual areas. You can also change the locations of the doors to the bedrooms, by not having them from the dining space, but from the passage outside the bathrooms; so that a larger table right in the centre with a dining credenza by one of the walls, thereby making the dining space a bit enclosed and not accessible from 3 sides. To answer your main question, you can have the television on the common wall between the living and bathroom (5'x8'); an L-shaped sofa can be placed along the same wall as the entrance door. Hope this helps! G...See MoreLiving and Dining Help.
Comments (1)But you have already a good plan. With the entrance put the sofa set or a sectional (L shaped) sofa. Infront of it put the TV unit. Put your crockery unit on the recessed aditional space. Placed the dining table on the side of wall of washroom, nearby the kitchen. Partition is your choice. if you do not like to open the dining area to the sitting area, you can put a partition. You can check partition ideas in houzz itself. But it is better not to be partioned as i think you do not have any window other than balcony side. Or may be frosted glass is a good idea for partition....See MoreBhuvaneswari Rajesh
