I’m hoping to find some backsplash ideas for our kitchen.

The cabinets are white shaker style, the cabinet hardware is brushed nickel, the appliances are stainless and the counter is a matte, soft white quartz with light grey veining. The paint is a light grey and the floors are a medium hardwood. I don’t like classic subway tiles in a brick pattern and the stove is a bit off centre so my preferred look of extra-large layered subway tiles won’t work. I have added pictures of the living and dining rooms so that you get a sense of our style. The living and dining room floors have been replaced with the same floor as the kitchen. I have settled on a light – medium grey colour but can’t decide on the style. I’ve considered a medium grey porcelain herringbone (but not the marble version which I love but didn’t work for me with this counter). I’m not certain if I should go with matte, glossy or semi-glass tiles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
