Main problem seems to be lack of natural light to the dining and living; introduction of a courtyard will bring in light and act as a visual link between the kitchen and other living spaces creating interesting viewpoints and play of light. The handwash is now tucked away from plain view; the toilet cutouts can be a glamorous light washed courtyard instead. North direction is not provided but we guess from the front door and gas hob direction that east is towards the porch, so why is the pooja diety made to face west? Arrangement of toilet fixtures is also corrected so that the shower can be curtained/glass partitioned off to avoid spill on to the rest of the dry areas of the toilet. Good luck!

That is one principle. When you translate into modern architecture, they transform into cut-outs. Hence, however you design, the number of cut-out elements should be odd. That includes windows, doors, stairwell openings, central courtyard, vents and chutes, design cut-outs etc. That applies to all buildings irrespective of their styles because only with even symmetry, you could achieve a greater flux of cross-ventilation. 2. Hi Rahul, Sorry for our delayed response. Considering the layout and measurements of the room, a poster board is not a practical choice anymore, unless you can place the bed on the wall with the balcony. Even then, we'd only recommend a small-sized bed that's more suited for kids rather than adults. Otherwise, you'd have room that looks cramped and has very little space to properly use the wardrobe.

Go for such a horizontal screen of 3’ wide and the left most corner. Cultivate some vertical garden there. Use a wooden panelled flooring to give a sense of warmth to the space. Make some casual corner sit outs like this and few semi open storage’s to showcase ur favourite arts and books.
