WHAT IS MISSING IN THIS DESIGN? GIVE ME SUGEESIONS.
Comments (27)With your original pictures - I agree with larger rug. But I don't agree with comments suggesting the rooms are monochromatic. They are lively indeed. I think you are just missing some accessories! Art work on the empty walls - even just a single large dramatic piece is in order. In the bedroom on the white wall, in the living space behind the sofa, in the greenish bedroom behind the two beds. Those are instant areas where you can improve. But I think your spaces are lovely and well put together. Also I agree with the comment about table lamps - some of those would really add something, and your coffee table looks so empty - maybe just one gorgeous bowl, or stack some books. These rooms are 90% done in my opinions, just need a few finishing touches. Some of my rooms come out like this because the clients are not willing to pay for those last few finish items or feel they can do that part themselves......See MoreScandinavian bedroom design
Comments (5)Hi Shilpa, Scandinavian design is a beautiful and versatile design genre. A few things you need to keep in mind which is key to Scandinavian design is light and ventilation - so have large windows with no/ minimal grills. The warmth of the room comes from natural wood elements, hence if you do not have wooden flooring have some amount of distressed or old wood in the room in terms of side tables or wall hangings. Maintenance will be a key issue if you have all white walls and furniture , so remember to suit it more to the climatic conditions of where you are situated , so if in a city next to a busy dusty road, you might have to upkeep the room on a daily basis. Try to bring in some pop colour like coral or teal and of course invest in an original painting Hope this helps you Smitha...See Morepatterned sofa styling?
Comments (10)Hello Arsh, Thankfully it's one piece as we were hoping. To tone it down these are our suggestions: The wall behind this needs to be in grey color. Use the lighter shade of your Curtains grey stitch lines in Royale Aspira Paint. Use black and white photo frames on that wall. Combine a number of patterned black and white with bright yellow or blue cushions on this piece and Use a similar throw piece. Use a carpet if your budget permits. Please ask the upholsterers to finish the other sofas properly. The biddings are not straight and they are not there on the entire piece - like handles. Let us know if you would need some pics as suggestions on the above. Lastly, thanks for your kind words..please feel free to leave your review/comments on our Houzz profile. Amit Cornerstone Designs.
