Comments (13)Rowe Furniture has very clean line sofas that I think would be an appropriate scale for this room. LOVE the red feature wall. You do need to bring the red into the room but knowing how you want the room to feel can help determine a color palette. If you want the room to have energy and "pop", try a split-complementary or triadic color scheme. If you want it to be more relaxed and harmonious, I would suggest an analogous color scheme....See MoreGold or orange curtains to go with cream curtains and orange furniture
Comments (7)Thank you Shalaka ! I do love it the way it is but since the windowstart are ceiling to floor and facing West, in summers it becomes a furnace. Hence the need for double curtains. So wanted to get something that when needed if I tie the front cream ones from the back when they show, it looks nice. While my husband liked orange, I was leaning towards, gold. So we decided to put it for vote. Thank you for your input :-)...See MoreGuidance for choosing curtain color
Comments (6)Hello Aishwarya, The curtains need not match your sofa fabric. It will be an overkill. Please go with light colored curtains with hints/patterns of blue. Instead of two transparent curtains have two layered curtains the inner one (sheer) allows day light inside and the second layer cuts down all the light. You may go with full height curtains rather than window height ones. Thanks, Amit Cornerstone Designs Bangalore...See MoreDoon Villa Drawing Room - Sofa design&Size and Curtains - Suggestions
Comments (11)Vinay, Since you have hired a professional, not sure how much of below will make any sense. This is a tall-boi room and the windows and doors height add to it. You have quite a good exterior view with surrounding greenery but the messy grills have kind of killed that view. You may have to always use sheer to hide them and coupled with earthen colored curtains. Plain bland white walls is another thing you may want to reconsider. Without going into too much details, a clean contemporary look for this place would be best suited. The ceiling lighting doesn't seem sufficient for a 14*15 room and I feel there is too much of wood on the ceilings even in the other parts of the house. As of now it looks like a transit place and glad to see this being made a permanent home. Will be eager to see the end results. Thanks Nitin Cornerstone Designs, Bangalore....See Moreshadylady2u
