Comments (9)I have a few suggestions. Hope these will help. Go for a wooden sofa set. I know many people nowadays tend to go for fabric sofa sets and sectionals, but i fee that wooden sofas never go out of style. Also, you can change the upholstery colour any time if you want a more colourful look or a colourful slip cover (you can get a local uphostery guy to custom stitch one) which can be washed easily. Go for sleek furnitures that are not heavy. You can also add a few accent furniture pieces like an accent chair if the space allows for it. There are couple of things to note when you bring in colour. Choose one primary colour and maximum two secondary colours. See these links to [pep up your space[(https://www.houzz.in/magazine/is-your-living-room-too-brown-here-are-8-ways-to-pep-it-up-stsetivw-vs~101141558) and liven it. After you choose your colours, pick your decor. Add dashes of these colours through cushions, vases, flowers, paintings, figurines, curtains, carpets and other decor pieces. If you have a favourite painting, pick your accent colours from them. Or if you like the colours in a particular cushion covers, the other pieces can be colour matched. Always hang your paintings at eye level. I noticed that your hang your frames quite high up. Place them around 57 - 60 inches from the floor. Comments (8)Hello there, You have chosen a beautiful shade of yellow for an accent wall. You could install some decor on that wall carrying white/ neutral accents. Second, the curtains needs to be replaced with white/beige blinds or you could install white printed curtains from 2-3' above window sill till floor to create an illusion of space. Third, sofa set could be accented with cobalt blue, emerald green, fuchsia pink, ivory whites, mint etc. to create a sophisticated yet relaxing ambience. Fourth, cushions could be contrasted with colors same as the wall. Graphical and geometric patterns are recommended. Fifth, being most important, upgrade your lighting from led bulbs to 20W led tubelights. They will cover a larger area. As of now, even the colors are light, the room appears stuffy and dimly lit due to insufficient lighting. Regards, Aurum Ideas and Spaces Bhubaneswar 9078942136...See MoreCurtain Colour Ideas
Comments (4)Hi Aditi, As Gauri mentioned below, you can play with the space and be creative here. As trusted interior designers in Chennai, we suggest considering plant vines or a few strands of curtain creepers to bring a touch of greenery and life. Even if your lifestyle doesn't allow room for real ones, in this day, you can also incorporate artificial plants in the design as long as they have a very life-like look....See More- 12 years ago
