Having vitrified tiles in any space is a good idea if you are concerned about durability and/or staining. The polished look, however, is a matter of taste. They offer a very elegant classic look. Staying consistent with your flooring choices will ensure your design looks complete and cohesive. If you have wood or carpet the polished look shouldn't be a problem. If you have a Matt or Lappato finish, then you may want to consider something else

thank you very much to everyone who responded! I'll look into espresso and charcoal grays. As well as the steel backplash. Emmarenes, I'm living abroad in India, and the only granites in my budget are the local ones. I was advised against the gray and white local ones because i was told that they would not hold up well in the kitchen. I could have gone with a black galaxy as well but i have that granite now and despise it because of the way it hides ants and bugs so well. we live in a tropical area and there are always critters here and there. My first choice was a Brazilian white granite but it was triple the price. This granite is called Shiva pink, so it has a pink salmon and gray look to it. Im really hoping I don't hate it once it's installed. The stoneyard was a 9 hour trip up and down and i was just pressured to make a choice after several undecided trips. And I'm getting new cabinets put in. but I think I can wait for them to put the slab before staining the wood. Thanks for that idea :)

first of all, Thank you guys for those valuable inputs. yes, as far as cleaning goes, its just been finished installing and I have asked them to clean them up. And also, I observed that the frosting on the glass didn't look that good, so I am going for the filming on certain portions of the doors n windows. - Is there a particular quality of films that I may choose for this ? - Yes, lighting is definitely the criteria I had in mind which can bring up the finish to this. And i am worried about this , as I did not go for False Roofing, bcos the ceiling is already at a low height. I should really refine my ideas on the lighting part. - the stairs are floored with white Marble stone..My mom loves it and the matting on it might hinder its beauty, but yes I will surely consider that as well. Greeting sir, nice to see your replies....please note this white wall contains unistone red brick work (2.6 inches*8inches)concealed with white sticky tape .done to prevant paint stains as noticed and suggested . about the wall coming out of the slope its not in actual merely an illusion becoz of the taping... also.the red brick work is complimented with white cement....for flooring steel grey granite and s white As planned...im attaching u final finished look wud b like...v wud b putting artificial grass garden besides the right side of the building ground floor.. good to know appreciative responses from you..please suggest another ideas floor plan ill share for sure
