Kids bedroom- can any changes be made to look more kid friendly
Comments (25)Its a really lovely room! what a great place for kids to share. I like kids sharing rooms. I think you need another colour to tie it together. I would suggest a blue tone.... teal, navy blue, duck egg blue. to tie it together. Its a little to pale and looks sparse, but actually isn't. I would leave everything exactly as is, BUT, paint the back wall behind the bed teal and find a simple navy blue wall decal that is fun and kid- like maybe one with a sillouette of a boy and girl playing. I would paint the wall behind the sofa duck egg blue. Then I think it would suit both kids more and look more kid friendly. the blues will balance the pink and cream, but because you have a pale carpet i don't think it will look too dark. don't worry about making it totally kid like, its a room they will grow with, not a kindergarten, and it also needs to peaceful and restful for sleeping. besides with their art on the walls and bright toys everywhere it soon looks bright and kid like. Good luck!...See MoreNeed help for small master bedroom with light wood flooring.
Comments (4)I'd suggest you have a look through the photos section on Houzz - or there's quite a few good articles on how to decorate :) maybe both you & your wife could save pictures to an ideabook with a few words on what it is you like about each one, and it'll give you more of an idea of what type of things you like? I think colour-wise, turquoise and peach can go together really well - maybe a warm cream colour on the walls & pops of turquoise and peach in the form of throw cushions etc.? Again, just searching on Houzz can give you some great ideas - just literally searching 'turquoise and peach' brings up quite a lot of pictures :) to get you started I've just picked out a few which I personally think work well :)...See MoreI wanna make this bedroom to b happenng...please suggest!
Comments (3)I love your wall color. A green print bed spread with yellow and purple colors would look great with your wall. Can you move the mirror/night stand to another wall. It looks crowded in that corner. Then mirror glass side tables with drawers would really sparkle against the purple wall. And then art on the walls. This is not a bedroom but you can see how green, yellow and purple go together....See MoreHow to fit wardrobe in small bedroom?
