OnePlan has a point -- people are notoriously unaware when attention is elsewhere -- like getting to the front door. Laying pavers in a different color/pattern/size (pick an option that appeals to you) that will be the same level as the remaining pavers would give you the distinctive path. Shame to cover the pavers; can they be removed without destroying? Alternative that comes to mind is to create a barrier along that line. A railing mounting on the pavers either 3' high or 6' high -- pick your medium. metal posts w/railing. glass panels in a framwork. shoji screens. colorful curtains hung from above. A photo from further back, showing the front of the house would help suggestions.

Hi Anchal, You may go for different flooring materials for different rooms. However here are a few pros and cons - Pros - Different floorings demarcate the formal and informal spaces in a house and can add character to the space. Colourful IPS flooring, wooden flooring etc. are used these days to highlight a certain space such as the balcony/ terrace and drawing room respectively. You can spend more on the more formal spaces such as dining, living and drawing and go for cheaper flooring options for the bedrooms, bathrooms and balconies. Tip: It is best to appoint an interior designer or an architect if you are opting for different floors and they can guide you better with respect to the colours and combinations. Cons - Different types of flooring visually divide the space and make it look smaller than it actually is. Also, as rightly mentioned above, the wastage of material is more as compared to going for a single flooring type. A single type of flooring a makes the space look seamless and hence larger to perceive. Italian marble works best when going for this option. You may also go for other stones such as granite, jaisalmer and kota. If it gets too monotonous, grooves, different sized stones and patterns of laying can help break it. Vinay, Since you have hired a professional, not sure how much of below will make any sense. This is a tall-boi room and the windows and doors height add to it. You have quite a good exterior view with surrounding greenery but the messy grills have kind of killed that view. You may have to always use sheer to hide them and coupled with earthen colored curtains. Plain bland white walls is another thing you may want to reconsider. Without going into too much details, a clean contemporary look for this place would be best suited. The ceiling lighting doesn't seem sufficient for a 14*15 room and I feel there is too much of wood on the ceilings even in the other parts of the house.
