Need help to Place my LCD TV in the middle of the hall
Comments (21)HI -- Well this is a nice floor plan but it creates problems . Because the space is all open doesn't mean you have to put the living room or the dining room where indicated on the plan . Also where you have marked for the sofa is not going to work there . Not enough room and in the way of getting to the bathroom etc, I do think you may have to have a free floating TV stand between the living -dining rooms . You could have the TV on the wall beside the kitchen and have the sofa facing or on the left wall and the dining at the front . I would put the TV on the left wall near the entrance and have the sofa facing it , leaving a hallway walking space behind the sofa . It's too bad the front entrance is on the left . If it had been on the right then that would be better flow into the center of the main floor . If you do decide to have the TV room divider where you show on the plan , keep it right over to the left wall as a room divider , then it won't cut the room in half so much and it keeps the stairwell open . Remember , you do not need to push the furniture against the walls ....See Moreneed seating arrangement with TV unit for my living room
Comments (9)You can orient your living room seating, and create a partition which does not go all the way to the ceiling: this enabling a visual barrier, space for tv unit and other display pieces and still have the openness and have large space still intact. Comments (8)Hi Kiran, Before you place any furniture here, you should rethink the existing layout. I would eliminate the 3 internal walls around the puja room, and convert the areas of the living, puja, dining and kitchen, into a singular larger space. This is simply for better air circulation and overall aesthetics of the flat - to make it feel larger. You will now have an open kitchen - which can be shut by either a glass sliding folding partition, or with a half wall with a breakfast bar. You can use furniture smartly to create privacy for individual areas. You can also change the locations of the doors to the bedrooms, by not having them from the dining space, but from the passage outside the bathrooms; so that a larger table right in the centre with a dining credenza by one of the walls, thereby making the dining space a bit enclosed and not accessible from 3 sides. To answer your main question, you can have the television on the common wall between the living and bathroom (5'x8'); an L-shaped sofa can be placed along the same wall as the entrance door. Hope this helps! G...See MoreNot sure on how to get open kitchen with wall betwen drawing, kitchen
Comments (8)Hi Option 1 As suggested by Cornerstone above. This way the TV will be visible from dining too Option 2 Move TV to the corner of the entrance wall, next to the window, placed at 45 degree angle. The L shaped sofa can then go to the diagonally opposite corner. The wall can be a see through book shelf/crockery shelf. This is better as the visitors have some inviting empty space as soon as they walk in instead of a sofa. Option 3 TV in current position, but instead of the TV being mounted on wall, perhaps have an open shelf (like below)...See MoreSandeep Tammineedi
