Your best bet is to have a residential structural engineer do a site visit and a soil test. As the home is only 10 years old, it is normal to have some settlement and additional settlement after 10 years should be minor. The fact you are concerned of future settlement should be a red flag. Additionally, you are concerned about moisture. Two red flags. It is your choice, but buyer beware. Best of luck.

You need a different type of wm or dw for mounting on top of each other. You cannot do that with a regular machine. Both of the machines produce a lot of vibration. Please enquire with the manufacturer before deciding to do that. My opinion is not to have a wash basin in the dining room. Can you do something like a powder room near the dining area?

I disagree with the advice above, the bathroom door that is in the passage should be closed. The reason for this is that you already have a bedroom without an attached bathroom. If you go by the advice above you will then have two bedrooms without an attached bathroom. Its not ideal. Also, you havent told us for which uses are the other two bedrooms. Are there going to be old parents in the bedroom with the bathroom or kids or are you going to use this as a guest bedroom? If you close the door in the passage you can have a bigger vanity by moving the WC behind the door that is from the bedroom side. This is also good because you should never have a bathroom door with a view of the WC. The WC is a very private spot and there shouldnt be a direct view of it from the room. Also we tend to spend more time sitting on the potty than washing hands, looking at ourselves or taking a bath. Once you move the WC you can have the vanity extending till the wall and will be 2.5x bigger than what you currently have.

When they're sanding away, its not the laminate but the top layer of wood polish and wood lacquer that they are removing. for the sole purpose of repainting the furniture. Often you'll find them using raw plywood without using laminates as well because unlike India, they have a good quality and grain top and bottom surfaces. As a result, polishing does the job for them. There are a lot of things they have which are not as durable as we make them in India as we look more to permanence in this country.
