Is it a good (or bad) idea to have a common bathroom of 2 bedrooms?
Comments (32)I strongly second One Plan's idea about looking for another architect. If this one is not motivated, all the fame in the world is not going to help. An alternative approach to finding an architect is to find some good contractors who have built things you like. Ask them for architects' names. Make sure they work in your price range. In the meantime, you can find out from your local building department what the set back and height restrictions are. Are you required to build parking areas or garage space, what kind of airspace restrictions do you have for neighbors' views and sunlight, that kind of thing. Often this stuff is on city websites or handouts at the office....See MoreNeed help with my bathroom and adjoining dress space.
Comments (9)Thanks a lot for your comment. I wouldn't exactly call it a walk in-closet. As you can see from the drawing, Its space provided for two single wardrobe (one on each side). Maximum width can be around 3.5 ft. The humidity point is quite relevant. The question is would it be possible to include a wet room in the space i.e. 6ft x 8.6ft. - considering I don't remove the dress wall. Wanted to get a sense on the possible layout. Thanks and look forward to your advise....See MoreAny scope to improve this layout?
Comments (9)Following will be costly and my mobile editing is not so good(bear with me Main door, change to double panel. Opening inside(current left side opening from outside is no good). Kitchen door... to open outside. Single/double panel?(your choice as per ground reality) Move sofa+tv accordingly. You see ppl outside your main door. Anyone walking outside dont see your TV Demolish full wall separating dining/kitchen. Demolish half wall separating drawing room/kitchen. Move fridge to that half wall(its marked €). TV side of wall can be made a feature wall with differentiating painting or wallpaper that may carry on to TV.. upto main door. Move stove(NW kitchen, so cook facing west, vastu). Small stove area, but functional. If there is money, design n replace the dining table to serve dual purpose.. a kitchen island++dining table and lit up with nice dropping lighting....See MoreThis is my home design layout My home layout
Comments (19)Basically what i can understand now is priority is given only for vastu and other aspects of the design has been forgotten. My opinion would be redesigning the spaces along with vastu integration . A single idea of modification would not be feasible here. Please consider setbacks and other utility areas needed outside the residence as well ,for services integration. Thanks...See Moresarshouse14
