Need help with my bathroom and adjoining dress space.
Dear Experts, Will be grateful for your advise on possible design options for bathroom and dress area. The layout is attached for view and advice. I was thinking of merging the dress area with bath considering the bath areas is 6ft X 8.6ft (City house). Have narrowed down the requirement to the followings: - Dress and Bath to be combined by taking out the wall - However, need a full length cabinet in the merged area for storage purpose (given the dress are will be gone) - Would prefer a bath enclosure instead of the bathtub. Have zeroed on few options from the existing design but am unsure about the change in layout and how these can be incorporated.
Really like the first design.. Please help with the possible layout change and how can I incorporate the essentials as mentioned above. Look forward for your valuable inputs and advise. Thanks a lot Regards Vivek

Comments (4)Sorry but I don't understand your pictures. You are talking about 2 bathrooms but we see only one floor plan. Is the 1.52M x 2.24M the 5 x 8 bathroom in your dilemma title. If so, can we see the floor plan of the 5 x 9 bathroom? Is the space with a small rectangle in the middle the extra 5.5 x 4.9 ft space you mentioned in your dilemma? Also 1.52M x 2.24M is in reality 5'0" x 7'4". This is 8 in. less. Comments (5)Hi Anisha, Here are a few suggestions that may help you - 1] If you can try shifting the main entry door to the left and the bathroom door also towards the left end of the bathroom. This way you will get a walk in closet which will not take away from the bedroom space. Dark Blue - Loose chairs and coffee table Dark Green - Study Mauve - TV Console Yellow - Rocking chair and floor lamp Red - Wardrobes Orange - Dressing Table Light Green - Safes Lavender - Bathroom layout You can increase the dressing space if you can compromise on the bedroom area. 2] If you cannot shift much, just bring the bathroom door to the centre of the bathroom wall right in front on the main entry door. This way you will get a niche on the right hand side of the main entry. It is advice able to provide a dressing unit here, with proximity to the bathroom since you will use it the minute you step out of the shower.
