I don't know if this is a feng shui thing too, but I sleep best in a room with my feet facing the direction of where the sun comes up (unfortunately that is the spare room and not the main bedroom). Agree you should walk in and see the foot of the bed.

hi docpam.. since you havent mentioned the size of the room or attached a plan.. I do not know how much space you have to play around with. I mean whether you want a bunk bed for the lack of space or you want to give the boys one more for the fun that comes with it. attaching some concepts that would fit into both situations. this is a rustic looking one where your younger one could have fun getting in through the window. the light on top could help serve as a dim night light. its look being mainly rustic, you could introduce fun through personalized cushions and whimsical patterns on curtains and bed spreads. this is a more compact option with plenty storage. The colours could be used to add some fun into the room. theme based - this one highlights the height of your space too. Hi Farooq, you should go for wall paneling on that wall with a concealed door. The wardrobe can be a part of the unit in front.
