Entering the room you should look to the opposite side from the door and see the foot of the bed. Optimum restful sleep that way too.

It's weird that I do not sleep well in a bed where the foot of the bed is pointed toward an exterior wall. Is that a Feng thing?

I don't know if this is a feng shui thing too, but I sleep best in a room with my feet facing the direction of where the sun comes up (unfortunately that is the spare room and not the main bedroom). Agree you should walk in and see the foot of the bed.

Agree but is it wrong then to put the head of the bed against a window if that's the only way to have it positioned to see the foot of the bed?
