With white fixtures, keep your floors and all tile white or a stone that is mostly white. You can paint the walls above the wainscot (which might be glossy painted wood or beadboard, or you might employ a cabinet for the sink that was painted a very soft sky blue. One narrow trim piece of tile running through the white tile might be the same tone of sky blue. Then, add blue linens / towels / etc. [houzz=] Now, consider what other colors are in your home and select one that is clear and soft and lovely with white. You might use that color instead of sky blue. I used sky blue because it is the color of water and therefore always appropriate in the bath, but you can make the bath flow with the colors you have or plan to have in your home. If this was a master bathroom instead of a common or guest bath, I would shift the choices of stone and tile from white plus white to a lovely off-white, cream, or almond tone - like travertine. Hello @Cornerstone Design Studio India No. I don't have any idea about FSI. I will try to learn more about it. Regarding the size of green belt, I have confirmed it from the patwari that Plot 1 has got 5 metre green belt on both sides. He told me that: All plots with 24 metre facing road are having 5 metre green belt whereas plots with 12 metre facing road are having 2.5 metre green belt. (It's 4 or 3.5 metre in case of 18 metre road, I don't remember exactly). About that bold line, I am sure that it is not representing width of green belt. (Check below image as that bold line is having same width for 12 metre facing plots). So what do you think now? Should I become that lucky guy to own plot 1? Check out whole map and there are hardly 3-4 corner plots which are having 24 metre wide road on both sides. (and there are just 2 plots having North East direction) whereas there are around 50-55 plots which are similar to Plot 2nd. About your query, It's Suncity Township - I (Sector 35, Rohtak). It's around 45 kilometres away from Delhi border. Would you please mind elaborating this point a little bit more - "For us function prevails over design anyday". Hey! Reuse is a very valid request we get from most of our clients. In face we recently completed a retail store project that was a 100% reuse project! Reuse is doable but only with loose furniture. if -you try to change the structure, whether its of the walls or individual furniture pieces, then you will mostly face losses. Tiles and Bathroom: If you pull out your tiles in the bathroom, you will have to do water proofing again. In addition, removing the floor tiles in the bathroom will damage the bottom most layer of the dado. And finding the exact same tile after 15 years is impossible, You can keep the dado tiles and rectify the damage with the floor tiles but considering they're 15 years old, the design will not come together and perhaps changing them to stay updated is better. Furniture: Most carpenters will not take small work, especially if it is reuse and remake because they make huge losses in that work. The returns they receive are not proportional to the time and labour investment that they make. If you have a few new pieces that you're going to make, then you can ask them to reuse some pieces in addition to the new ones. But keep in mind that the reuse workload should be lesser than new workload. If you find a carpenter who has worked for you before then he might do it. Kitchen Countertop: Since we can assume the stone of the counter top to be at least 15 years old, it will break when you try to remove it. So i’m guessing you’re saying that oil paint/enamel paint looks cheap? That makes sense cause whilst i was growing up, the govt quarters came with oil painted doors and it chipped off in a few years in a sorry state. Don’t want that. So oil paint is out? What I’m gathering is that PU paint is not just paint. It’s a process? So you prime and paint(?) first and then do a protective coating of PU with the thinners and the additives? Am I getting this right? :P
