Advice regarding color change for veranda
Comments (23)What a beautiful house, Shahbaaz! I live in a similar house - a 150-year-old colonial bungalow in Kumaon. You have already received lots of excellent advice from better-qualified people, so all I would say is, keep its age and heritage character the central theme. The white tiles do clash, I am afraid ... flooring with terracotta tiles would echo the roof and look lovely. The columns and the arches over the doors and windows are amazing. But I'd say, leave it all chuna-painted - there's a beauty and softness to it. Don't let the painters add too much neel (indigo) in the limewash -- in the hills where I live, they put far too much if I don't watch out and the result is a harsh white. Natural lime has a softer, creamy look....See MoreNeed advice for main wall of living area.
Comments (15)First of all I think you should better take off that sofa covering(the floral one) off!!! There's already soo much of texture and variations that it's all looking cluttered at one place! You can go for a tone of beige lighter than that of your sofa with textured effect wall paint and couple it with a nice large sober painting. See if there's a provision for adding a spot light over it as well (on the ceiling)....See MoreAdvice on house layout
Comments (0)Please help me remodel the existing house plan. The details are - 1. Bedroom 1 aka Master bedroom (existing) 2. Bedroom 2 3. Bedroom 3 (this room has a balcony) 4. Living room (this room has a balcony) 5. Open area cum Dining room 6. Kitchen a and d are Bathrooms b. Washing machine area c. Lavatory Problem areas that need to be fixed - Entryway into the house is very dark during the day due to lack of natural lighting. Want to open up the kitchen area as it is very congested. Want to incorporate a walk - in closet and convert a bedroom into an Ensuite Need space for a study cum office area. I am ok with demolishing the walls and have 1 bathroom instead of 2, but do not want to compromise on the 3 Bedrooms. Switching the rooms is also possible. Thank you all....See Moreneed advice on floor tile to be used for terrace balcony
Comments (13)antislip and easy maintainance tiles for exterior is the key. choose any shade, colour, size. must not have deep textures as that's gonna be tough later in use. do consider slope and drainage appropriately as terrace may lead to water proofing issues in future. make sure skirting is everywhere and corners with top part of the balcony wall is tiled properly. thanks shradha shah beescheese design...See MoreC P
