Need advice on flooring for my house
Comments (3)Hi Mohit, As you rightly said that in Indian climate best is stone (Marbles, granite, sandstone etc.. ) or tiles. Before suggesting you something I would like o know your location in India and would analyse your lifestyle. While Marble seems to be an obvious choice for many its not the best material always. It is also expensive and needs high maintenance and not a sustainable material. All materials have their pros and cons. Its true wood does not essentially work in most of the climates in India however I must make you aware that there are very nice wood looking tiles available. You get the best of both worlds- cozy look and robust wear and tear. If you wish to explore further with us we provide interior design advice at nominal fees. Comments (13)Hi, I would suggest changing the furniture fabric first and formost, go for a solid colour say white, offwhite, grey or even brown, and use colourful cushions which you may keep changing. A light yellow more like a dull yellow with wall accessories will look great on the walls. . For the flooring , please use wooden laminates and repolish the ceiling (as i see is a lovely wooden ceiling ) to a similar shade. Change the curtains to a breezy white curtains. Avoid curtains on the door. Reduce the clutter and you have a wow living room . For more ideas you may use our edecor services , just mail us at snsofdesign@gmail.com with the above reference . Not sure how good would that look - may be with curtains on . Curtains may not have any back rest / Support as it would be hollow inside Not sure if you got me right - else shall contact you tomorrow...See MoreHow to use combination of wooden & coloured cement tiles for flooring?
Comments (5)Hello there, When you are going for wooden and concrete texture, the decor you need to put must complement the interiors. If going for traditional and rustic finishes, athangudi tiles would really help for outdoor and indoors as well. They go seamlessly well with wooden textured tiiles/ wooden floors/ Try to add wooden rafters/ slats to sitouts and balconies to enhance a few aesthetics. If going for contemporary finish, try IPS (Indian Patent Stone) flooring for outdoors and indoors as well. These are basically concrete slabs with iron oxide paints on top and come in a wide array of colors including copper sulphate blue. If planning for cement tiles, try Bharat Floorings . They have been manufacturing concrete tiles for almost century. Blue with wooden, if used generously, lends a beach house/ marine theme to overall decor . If that's your preference, then do not hesitate for a moment. Regards, Aurum Ideas and Spaces Bhubaneswar...See MoreIn Design Decor
