Need help with choosing a dressing table for my room.
Comments (7)Your wallpaper might be the best feature for your dressing room and just let it show right through a clear acrylic dressing table.Or you could continue with your touches of gold on a new vanity or by using a bit of gold leaf on an antique one. Add a gold chair to a rosewood vanity to continue with your bedroom look. My personal favorite is #4 ,5 & 6 below. Love the curves and a desk will work too....See Moreplease help...hello i have one sofa set and 2 single bed one tv in liv
Comments (76)HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)...See MoreNeed help with my living room
Comments (138)Leather sofas can really dominate the room and can give an overall cold feeling. I would add some earthy elements, like a wood coffee table with glass or metal. Go to Restoration Hardware's website and look at their sofa room scenes. And I'm sorry I think the art is too harsh for the room. That's all your eye goes to in the room. too overpowering. I would look for something softer or maybe a cool mirror and I would add color to the room with pillows and some colorful lamps. I also think woven blinds would look great. They add warmth and give a finished look. The color of your window treatments should contrast your wall color a bit, not match it or else it starts to look generic and blah.. You have warm walls, warm floors and the woven blinds, like Hunter Douglas brand would pull it all together for you....See MoreBedroom Styling Ideas
Comments (9)Hi Manaswini, First decide if you want the bedroom to be bright and airy or dramatically dark as this will influence the type of monochromatic look you are going for. If you veer towards the former then keep a majority of your bedding white or light grey while the adding a hint of darkness through a few small cushions. On the flip side, if you want a dark and cosy bedroom, then opt for a plain dark bedding that contrasts with the duvet. We suggest opting for a dark grey/brown rather than a going for completely black sheets as this adds visual interest. You can bring in pops of colour through the elements of decor such as a large piece of artwork above the bed, a rug under the bed or a lamp on the side table. Even a simple flower vase on the side table can help you add colour. If you'd like to discuss this further, reach out to us.
