Need help with choosing a dressing table for my room.

Hi,
My bedroom has an adjoining dressing room which one must enter before reaching the bathroom.There isnt a door to separate the bedroom from the dressing room. The dressing room has sufficient space to house a dressing table. This space is more like a short corridor.I would love to have a white dressing table. The problem is I am in a dilemma about using white furniture in my dressing area alone.
Since I have used dark coloured furniture in my bedroom (rosewood) with my walls being mostly white except for one which is covered in a pretty wallpaper (floral and geometric patterns in hues of pinks/plums and green on a white background). I have also used subtle gold furnishings sparingly as accents.
How can I decorate the dressing area without disrupting the look of the entire space? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Comments (2)Without seeing it nor the colour on your walls (which also plays a part), I would say you could take any one of the colours from your carpet as your colour for the upholstery. Yes you can choose two complementary colours for your upholstery but make sure they work tonally. Comments (9)Thanks a lot for your comment. I wouldn't exactly call it a walk in-closet. As you can see from the drawing, Its space provided for two single wardrobe (one on each side). Maximum width can be around 3.5 ft. The humidity point is quite relevant. The question is would it be possible to include a wet room in the space i.e. 6ft x 8.6ft. - considering I don't remove the dress wall. Wanted to get a sense on the possible layout. PRO12 years agoAs your dressing table will stand out why not make it a feature? It cannot be disguised so taking it a step further, cover it in your bedroom wallpaper
