I love colour. But I understand the preference for monochromatic as well. You need artwork above your wall, you need some nice mats on the floor. You need a small sitting come container box at the foot of your bed. Your overhead lighting needs to be larger.

thanks for the inputs! do you have any ideas as to what colour would work if I wanted to add some? maybe some Jewel tones?

Firstly the length of the rope/chain of pendant light needs to be longer, your concept was really good but try going for contrast colours in the sheets and some basic but evergreen prints. Secondly, Bed back wall needs art piece or textured paint or panelling whichever is feasible. Thirdly, the Side tables could have decorative pots or vases with pot pouri in it!
Add up rugs to increase the richness.

Also the switchboard near the bed is an obstruction between bed and side table try if you can decrease the height of the side table, it will look as 1 component

agree about the side table height. sadly I forgot about the switchboard when I chose them... now I just put the table directly in front of the switchboard with a little space in between

First decide if you want the bedroom to be bright and airy or dramatically dark as this will influence the type of monochromatic look you are going for. If you veer towards the former then keep a majority of your bedding white or light grey while the adding a hint of darkness through a few small cushions. On the flip side, if you want a dark and cosy bedroom, then opt for a plain dark bedding that contrasts with the duvet. We suggest opting for a dark grey/brown rather than a going for completely black sheets as this adds visual interest.

You can bring in pops of colour through the elements of decor such as a large piece of artwork above the bed, a rug under the bed or a lamp on the side table. Even a simple flower vase on the side table can help you add colour.
