Maybe a cool leaf green? Solid or subtle pattern would have a cooler more calming feel - but if you love lots if patterns then you could probably find something fun in a tropical palm-y print.

I think the kitchen you posted is really cheerful, young and full of energy. Nice retro feeling. It's interesting to compare it with the one below that I just found on Houzz -- which I must admit is closer to what I would choose if I were going green and yellow. But then I'm neither young nor full of energy. I love that there are so many different ways to do things. (I have to admit that in the one below I don't think the blue/turqoise accents work too well.)
