How is it to use yellow-green theme ??

Hi,

I am thinking to work with green and yellow color scheme for my newly constructed home interior. I found some of the designs online and one of the kitchen design I am sharing with you all.

I took this image from homedecorbuzz.

So can anyone suggest me what will be the best option ?

IMO This is a design concept better received in places other than the US.

I think it's a lovely design,yellow and green always make for a fresh,fun vibe,but personally I would prefer to have a blank canvas then incorporate the yellow and green scheme with accessories.

What a beautiful house, Shahbaaz! I live in a similar house - a 150-year-old colonial bungalow in Kumaon. You have already received lots of excellent advice from better-qualified people, so all I would say is, keep its age and heritage character the central theme. The white tiles do clash, I am afraid ... flooring with terracotta tiles would echo the roof and look lovely. The columns and the arches over the doors and windows are amazing. But I'd say, leave it all chuna-painted - there's a beauty and softness to it. Don't let the painters add too much neel (indigo) in the limewash -- in the hills where I live, they put far too much if I don't watch out and the result is a harsh white. Natural lime has a softer, creamy look.

Hi Maam/Sir, I would recommend you to share a better perspective pic of your room where the ceiling is also visible because if a room does not have enough of natural lighting then some artificial effect like a false ceiling treatment would really give a great boost to the look and feel of your space. I would also suggest you to follow a concept like i can see there are a lot of varied colorscheme happening in your room so changing a curtain will not be much help. You should find the right patterns maybe like adding some pastels or i can see that some red or maroon color is involved in your room so try to match the lighter version of these elements. I think the kitchen you posted is really cheerful, young and full of energy. Nice retro feeling. It's interesting to compare it with the one below that I just found on Houzz -- which I must admit is closer to what I would choose if I were going green and yellow. But then I'm neither young nor full of energy. I love that there are so many different ways to do things. (I have to admit that in the one below I don't think the blue/turqoise accents work too well.)

I love it IMO the US A is a brown and beige place so any color works better than that.I do however agree that it is a big committment to have permanent stuff in a really bright color but the pic from Rina would be a nice choice and I happen to like the bits of turquoise.

While I don't love the photo you posted, I do think there's a lot of beige on Houzz so bright colours make a good change. Our home us saturated greens and oranges in the living room and I love it. The rest of the house is also deep rich colours against a white backdrop.
