Black wrought iron from the top of the glass "fence" to the ceiling of the balcony would be pretty. The contractor will know how far apart to install the WI for safety. I wouldn't have any fancy WI design, just plain. The WI could also be installed horizontally. Extending the glass would be pretty, too! If the area was fully enclosed you could keep the french doors open more often and incorporate this balcony area into your living space year round. Also it would keep out dust and wind and rain & would be easier to keep clean, maybe there could be a vent for fresh air when the weather was nice. Could you talk to someone who has enclosed their balcony for more information? Depending on the sun exposure, you might need screening, too. The furniture & colors should harmonize with your living room. Ask your family what they might use the balcony for. If to sit and enjoy the view and plants, you will want one type of furnishing and if to eat on the balcony you'll need a table and chairs, too. Already you have left space for 18mm thk single glass.. to insert inside the hollow gap.. A;so a electrical wires in been kept on top, i dont know how u where u wanna used that for, there is no sandwich type glass space over there... Wood u hav already used for panelling & u r looking for glass.. wat type to take... My suggestion will be, u go for clear toughened glass, so that on one side u can fix film, ,,, so that any time if u feel like to change the design u can. but if u for for designer glass or decorative glass, which will not alter later, that will be one time large investment for u ,,, But changing the film will not disturb the entire partition and glass , only reasonable price u can change the entire film as per latest trendz

Hi Jignesh, Window grills are essentially made of metals such as mild steel sections, wrought iron sections and aluminium sections. Square, round or flat sections may be used in designing the grill as per the requirement and design. You can either keep it simple by giving just horizontal or vertical bars as equal intervals or give them an ornamental design. Here are a few examples - Aluminium grills are rust free, light weight and offers resistance to bending, breakage and fire. They go well with contemporary linear designs and need to be painted else they look pretty commercial and cheap for a household. Wrought iron is incomparable when it comes to strength. However, it is not rust resistant and needs frequent painting to protect it. The advantage of using wrought iron is that you can achieve a colonial look with a variety of designs it has to offer. But these come at a cost. Mild steel is a widely used material when it comes to window grills. It is both strong and durable and offers flexibility in design. But like other iron objects, it too possesses the susceptibility to rust. Hence, a regular touch up of paint is required for maintenance.
