Beautiful concept. Are the speaker components simply screwed to the wall or is there structure/airspace behind the wall? Can you share any pics of the "guts" of the system? The aesthetic is absolutely great.
Thank you for your comments. I'll see if I can pull together a few before and during photos. The subwoofers are custom built sealed enclosures I calculated and built myself. There are 2-12" and 2-8" subs. All speakers are TruAudio. Instead of dealing with crossovers and amps I actually got 4 of their custom in wall speakers, broke them down to their individual components, then built the wall using them. Each set still retains the manufacturers crossovers so every speaker has the same tonal quality. There are better ways to do this but the wall turned out amazing and sounds great. I built the wall from 2x6, framed horizontal dividers between most speaker types and filled with insulation. Then I covered the wall with barn wood, cut out each speaker and screwed to the wood. If I could do over I would use a sealed back box on each mid and tweet but maybe on the next one. This is the wall next to my office desk for my own enjoyment and it shakes the building.
