This was a custom color using Dura-Seal stain. I believe it was a mixture of chestnut and ebony stains. The best way to achieve the perfect stain color is to mix several colors and apply directly the wood floor. Keep in mind that different species of wood; oak, maple, walnut, etc. will take the same stain differently. The flooring in this photo is beech wood.
The photo below is a similar stain color on oak with a hand scraped, distressed finish. We were asked to match the artwork you see hanging on the wall.
