Just a little ceramic information to share as a potter. Vitrified simply means the clay has become glass like by being fired to its proper maturing temperature. Usually ceramic tile means it is a lower temperature clay like earthenware or terra cotta. Porcelain is fired to the highest temperature and is more vitrified if you will. This usually means it is less porous to to absorb water and harder. Low fired ceramics with glazes much darker or lighter than the clay body will show chips easier. Rectified has to do with making the edges precise enough to fit smoothly together for less grout lines. So porcelain cost more to produce but it is more sturdy. All clay tiles should be vitrified.

Hi, I would suggest changing the furniture fabric first and formost, go for a solid colour say white, offwhite, grey or even brown, and use colourful cushions which you may keep changing. A light yellow more like a dull yellow with wall accessories will look great on the walls. . For the flooring , please use wooden laminates and repolish the ceiling (as i see is a lovely wooden ceiling ) to a similar shade. Change the curtains to a breezy white curtains. The tiles can be arranged on a flat surface that is either cemented or tiled. The flooring is shock proof, fire proof, water proof and comes in a wide array of colours and patterns. They are basically interlocking tiles with an mdf/hdf base and are reusable. But apart from the planks, one needs profiles and other accessories for laying them. The laying time is only a few hours. Laminated Wooden Planks 2] Tiles with wooden patterns These are available both as vitrified and ceramic tiles. They come in actual plank sizes (165mm x 900mm) and also in tile sizes (2'x4') etc. They are very easy to maintain but take more time to lay as compared to laminated planks. They require pigmented cement to fill the joints in order to give the seamless wooden look. Vitrified Tiles Ceramic Tiles 3] Vinyl wooden flooring They come in rolls or strips that can be just applied over the existing floor (cemented or tiled). They come in matte and gloss finishes.
