Red or Maroon ? Which Color to Choose for Living Room?
Comments (3)Wow! red or maroon are very strong colours. Without knowing your tastes, your furniture, your flooring your walls or even your artwork, it is very hard to give you advice. Red - strong, vibrant, passionate, hot. Works with most wood colours except a cherry wood which has reds in it. Works with the non-colours - black, white, grey. Works with high saturation colours and clashing colours such as turquoise or hot pink. Maroon - muted, calming, moody, dark. Works with most wood colours except possibly black which would be dark on dark. Works with muted colours best of the same tone category: olive green, yellow ochre. Likes gold and silver. Comments (3)Hi Jiya, For sure this has gone over the top.. not going into that.. To tone it down we can remove the terracotta red color on the walls . It can be replaced with white color on the brick wall. Window frame color if changed to lighter shades would be great as well. The line where the two floors meet may have to be covered with a uni tone area rug. The sqaure shaped dining bench gives the room a sidey restaurant like feel? Can we not change it . For the curtains and Sofa furnishings , please do not take one with any patterns on it.. uni colored ones with an accent piece would be better.. Comments (13)antislip and easy maintainance tiles for exterior is the key. choose any shade, colour, size. must not have deep textures as that's gonna be tough later in use. do consider slope and drainage appropriately as terrace may lead to water proofing issues in future. make sure skirting is everywhere and corners with top part of the balcony wall is tiled properly. thanks shradha shah beescheese design...See MoreWhich color doors suits best with the light beige flooring?
Comments (8)most colours would go with the light to neutral oak floor. A dark contrast wood panelled door would look great. someone here said that should be avoided. I feel a dark contrast, whether in wood, or a coloured paint would work very well. A painted panelled door (red, blue, green etc) with a wooden floor wood be a bold choice and will give the space a more European look....See MoreCindy C
