I was redoing my living room and thought of doing a cute little diamond tile for the dining area, which was going to be the graphic element and herringbone wood floors for the living area.
Somehow (I wont go into details!) I got stuck with a very graphic pattern on the wooden floor as well. I love the floors separately but together (with the dining bench) it looks a bit much.
Luckily I didn't order any furniture ahead of time, except for the dining .
Now I am looking for some decor tips to make the busy floors work for the room.
Functionality of the flooring material is very important in house.Hardwood flooring would be a classic choice for every homeowner as it is easy to maintain.Carpet is the most popular choice among st homeowners regarding floor coverings that is available in a vast array of colors, patterns, and textures, carpeting can be effortlessly and perfectly matched to your individual tastes and unique decor.Good luck with your project.

I would highly suggest you to change the entire flooring into a basic one if your budget allows you to do so. It is because of the flooring that your concept is not related to each other which is very important to wing it because without details, there are no design symmetry. I guess you should chalk out some options on a notebook first. If you are a pro' then you should get your moodboard shortlisted. Good luck!- Layden Wangmo [senior interior designer] MAD DESIGN
