Adding taupe or beige to the walls, in most hues, would blend in too much with the draperies. I love the lavender in the bedding. It would pull the room together if you were to choose a grey paint that had elements of lavender or berry and silver. The color would be subtle, neutral, relaxing as well as refined. This slight shimmer will pull out the subtle nuances in the marble. As the headboard is already so interesting, it would be too busy to add anything too ornate on the wall. To open up the room and increase the light, you could hang a mirror. I would select an Art Deco style with metallic accents to continue pulling together the room. The marble is lovely, but combined with the sleek lines in the bed and bedding it creates a very smooth appearance. To create warmth, it is necessary to add additional texture. I would add a soft, plush or high pile area rug by the bed. How nice would it be to step out of bed on to that?

Hello Rachna, We have gone through your posts. Please clarify the room size is it 12x8 or 16x9.3 . Let's start from bottom line, what is the budget that you can spare now for the makeover. A lot of remodelling would depend upon the budget .BTW, I really appreciate your honesty about the affordability ! Coming back to the topic, I believe your TV unit is placed in a good position but other units will require movement. Please do confirm the size. The layout doesn't seem as bad as you think. The sides of the wardrobes are part of the entrance-way and to your side as you enter each room. That's at least better than the side *facing* the doorway, another common layout. You could add some wiring to place an LED spotlight just above the door way, aligned to the middle of the depth of the wardrobe (ie, roughly 1'-0" away from the entrance door frame). This is assuming that the loft also runs over the doorway. You could also cover the side of the wardrobe with a full length mirror. Or you could paint it the same colour as the wall on the other side of the doorway. It is not really a tunnel like look when it's just 2'-0" deep, light in colour or reflective.

Its just really messy right now. Too many colours and clashing prints. Is that Puja unit lime green? Or does it just appear that way because of lighting? Either way, it stands out like one more distraction. Pick one base colour add and add prints that go with that base. That TV unit HAS to go. So do that black metal coffee table and the carpet. I would suggest you go with a simple geometric print in the carpet. But apart from these obvious design gaffes, the structure has distinct possibilities, if you do a classic English style. The railing above adds some interest
