I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. I mean whether you want a bunk bed for the lack of space or you want to give the boys one more for the fun that comes with it. attaching some concepts that would fit into both situations. this is a rustic looking one where your younger one could have fun getting in through the window. the light on top could help serve as a dim night light. its look being mainly rustic, you could introduce fun through personalized cushions and whimsical patterns on curtains and bed spreads. this is a more compact option with plenty storage. The colours could be used to add some fun into the room. theme based - this one highlights the height of your space too.
