Kids bedroom- can any changes be made to look more kid friendly
Comments (25)Its a really lovely room! what a great place for kids to share. I like kids sharing rooms. I think you need another colour to tie it together. I would suggest a blue tone.... teal, navy blue, duck egg blue. to tie it together. Its a little to pale and looks sparse, but actually isn't. I would leave everything exactly as is, BUT, paint the back wall behind the bed teal and find a simple navy blue wall decal that is fun and kid- like maybe one with a sillouette of a boy and girl playing. I would paint the wall behind the sofa duck egg blue. Then I think it would suit both kids more and look more kid friendly. the blues will balance the pink and cream, but because you have a pale carpet i don't think it will look too dark. don't worry about making it totally kid like, its a room they will grow with, not a kindergarten, and it also needs to peaceful and restful for sleeping. besides with their art on the walls and bright toys everywhere it soon looks bright and kid like. Good luck!...See Morei need help in designin my bath
Comments (7)Based on the dimensions you have given and the religious aspects you mention you are very restricted in what the layout can be. The best solution I see means you have to move the door towards the south by 36". I suggest you make it a pocket door retracting towards the south wall. This leaves 36" x 60" of space on the north wall for either a shower or tub. The vanity would be on the west wall ( across from the door) spaced away from the tub or shower around 12". Make sure the vanity cabinet is shallow, no more than 21" deep. The vanity should be able to be about 48" wide. The toilet will go on the South wall with the right side of it close to the East wall. Code calls for approx. 33" of width for the toilet overall. If budget allows you could continue the vanity cabinets into the corner of the south wall however keep in mind that most of that area that will be next to the toilet and not easily accessible. But it would provide extra storage or counter space. The sink will have to be centered in the 48" part of the vanity. You could also frame out the southwest corner to capture the side of the vanity instead of a longer vanity. Hope this helps....See MoreBATHROOM ON MIDDLE OF THE EAST SIDE OF HOME IS A PROBLEM OR NOT
Comments (8)Ok thanks. After SE extention 1. NE was cut 2. SW was cut 3. water tank above toilet in center of east. 1. NE cut - Just make a shed/pargola of same height as bathroom... put 4 poles beside staircase and put up a tin shed. 2. SW cut... build a store room with 4 poles, tin shed, wall of plywood or/else any material you can afford. Door from east work area. Or door preferably from inside the bedroom. This is the bedroom in SW corner which head of the family or bread earner should occupy. 3. Water tank and toilet is not causing much problem due to height. However; I am not sure if thats exact center of your whole plot. Doesnt seem so. If anyone living there facing litigations, financial troubles or unnecessary authority problems... Just pay 500rs to a known good vastu consultant and amend accordingly. Its not practical to advise seeing pictures only, there are many things to consider. Comments (2)Hi Manish, 1- Runners are a better value for money than telescopic channels. Channels have a better load bearing, and have a lock which does not let the unit fall even if pulled nearly out. If you don't see these two as you requirements you can go for runners. Check the load requirements and get a suitable load runner/channel. If you foresee some drawer to be quite heavy then telescopic/quadro/tandem boxes will be better. 2. PVC boards as such do not have any drawbacks for use in kitchen. Just make sure your guys have worked with them earlier. 3. Wire frame baskets are lighter, readymade, readily available and provide more space and also require lesser work. If you are more of a detail cleaner then it will definitely require more efforts for others it requires lesser efforts for cleaning them. It's a subjective opinion.
