Whole house remodel

This small living room was overpowered by a sandstone veneer fireplace and hearth/banco. The banco was underutilized. The client, knowing I had been a cabinetmaker in a previous career, asked me to make some open shelves to sit on the banco using viga posts and rough 2" pine for shelves. It was a challenge that I couldn't refuse! I think it all works pretty well together and lends to the Southwestern feel the client was trying to achieve.
