Whole house remodel

A Southwestern treatment for a passage from the breakfast room to the lower level dining room. A 12" diameter viga was split in half for the end supports of a 3" x 12" pine timber cap. The structural support beams are above the decorative half vigas and timber cap. The recessed LED down light in the cap illuminates the steps down to the dining area.
