Compact Kitchen in a apartment, minimal design, with clean lines.

An open plan within a traditional framework was the Owner’s goal - for ease of entertaining, for working at home, or for just hanging out as a family. We pushed out to the side, eliminating a useless appendage, to expand the dining room and to create a new family room. Large openings connect rooms as well as the garden, while allowing spacial definition. Renowned Wedding Photographer Christian Oth hired Atelier Armbruster to design his new studio in the Chelsea Neighborhood of New York City. The 10,000 sq.ft. studio combines spaces for client meetings, offices for creative and administrative work as well as a gracious photo studio for Portrait shoots for publications such as the New York Times. http://www.christianothstudio.com/

Featured in Period Homes Magazine, this kitchen is an example of working with the traditional elements of the existing Victorian Period home and within the existing footprint. The Custom cabinets recall the leaded glass windows in the main stair hall and front door.

The designer took a cue from the surrounding natural elements, utilizing richly colored cabinetry to complement the ceiling’s rustic wood beams. The combination of the rustic floor and ceilings with the rich cabinetry creates a warm, natural space that communicates an inviting mood.

The Surrey Malthouse is a beautiful large contemporary kitchen. Finished in two different blue's- Mylands- Mayfair Dark and Dulux Heritage- Antwerp Blue, the colouring highlights the different areas of the room in the most subtle way. Beautiful oak accents throughout the room soften the bold blue colouring and keep the flow of natural timber throughout. A large central island with room for comfortable dining, with matching stools that are in-keeping with the colour palette. The large island is wrapped in a beautiful white Quartz which allows it to make a statement without the use of the a bold colour, breaking up the sea of blue in the room.
