Haven Design and Construction
One functional challenge was that the home did not have a pantry. MCM closets were historically smaller than the walk-in closets and pantries of today. So, we printed out the home’s floorplan and began sketching ideas. The breakfast area was quite large, and it backed up to the primary bath on one side and it also adjoined the main hallway. We decided to reconfigure the large breakfast area by making part of it into a new walk-in pantry. This gave us the extra space we needed to create a new main hallway, enough space for a spacious walk-in pantry, and finally, we had enough space remaining in the breakfast area to add a cozy built-in walnut dining bench. Above the new dining bench, we designed and incorporated a geometric walnut accent wall to add warmth and texture.

Best & Company
Paired with a Saarinen pedestal table, an upholstered banquette—fabricated and installed by Best & Company—makes full use of a formerly underutilized kitchen corner, now a site for morning coffee, conversation with the cook, and catching up on work before dashing out the door. The dark-stained wood on the frame and adjacent set-back cabinet add natural warmth to the all-white room without detracting from its sense of spaciousness.

When old meets new! Our clients wanted to utilize the table from their previous home so we sourced a new sideboard and statement chairs. This glamorous space shows off this family's personality and their love for peacocks!
Project Nine Property Group
Step into this luxury victorian home extension with a stylish dual colour kitchen from Devol.
The project comprised of a single-story rear extension to create an open plan space for the client's young family, and remodelling of the existing lounge. Extensive structural work took place to support the existing house so that we could open up the extension through to the existing areas.
Externally, the extension facade was designed with a flat roof/parapet wall detail, handmade bricks from the classic brick company were used in 2 colours with a white lime mortar finish. The external crittall doors were supplied & installed by Fabco Sanctuary in a RAL 9004 signal black colour. The split level porcelain patio was then added, with a white rendered low level wall for planting to compliment the overall look.
Internally, there are some lovely finishes on show, including the engineered wood herringbone patterned floor, and quartz carrarra worktops from CK Stone. Column radiators, high skirting boards, feature lighting, antque brass fittings and Farrow & Ball wall colours were used to create a beautiful space.

Photos are of one of our customers' finished project. We did over 90 beams for use throughout their home :)
When choosing beams for your project, there are many things to think about. One important consideration is the weight of the beam, especially if you want to affix it to your ceiling. Choosing a solid beam may not be the best choice since some of them can weigh upwards of 1000 lbs. Our craftsmen have several solutions for this common problem.
One such solution is to fabricate a ceiling beam using veneer that is "sliced" from the outside of an existing beam. Our craftsmen then carefully miter the edges and create a lighter weight, 3 sided solution.
Another common method is "hogging out" the beam. We hollow out the beam leaving the original outer character of three sides intact. (Hogging out is a good method to use when one side of the beam is less than attractive.)
Our 3-sided and Hogged out beams are available in Reclaimed or Old Growth woods.
