There are lots of nice cordless lamps. What if you take the picture to a store that just sells lighting, and see if they have something similar in their catalogs? It would be expensive but maybe worth it if you love having them be the first thing you see when you come in the door.

Hi Padmaja, im pooja talwar, for maximum utilization of space u need to break in balconies if u have one and get french windows right till ground level. so you can have a lovely dining area there or low ground sitting area where u can get outside view and spacious look too. doors which open inwards or outwards can be split into 2 so the door flaps become smaller . use mirrors huge ones carved ones on walls to reflect a larger room. also u will have to place furniture which is smaller in size . shoe racks , and cabinets can be made tall instead of having it on ground .... place on the wall hanging shelves , tall cabinets , and storage cabinets. tv can be placed on wall done up with wooden pannel. have storage up on ceiling edges rather than any where down. hope these lil suggestions help you

Create a border along with the window frame using plaster or some other thing to levitate as shown in purple colour then colour two different areas with two different colours main entrance colour should be more bright and welcoming and consider developing stairs from ground to plinth all along the the wall as shown by brown colour This would divide the things in ration and will remove the awkwardness this is the cheapest way . rest you can spend as much as you can . . . Hi Neha, The floor plan is indeed a bit odd. I would suggest to have a living area on the left hand side of entry with TV unit on the left wall adjacent to entry. You can plan a Swing sofa on left of entry. In the niche near bedroom you can plan some decorative corner, some cabinets or cabinets with a memory corner with lots of family photographs. I would have suggested a Pooja corner but the wall is with the toilet on the other side so that wouldn't be suitable. On the right on entry plan dining area. On the wall shared with kitchen you can have a little window in the dinning. It would act as a good place for a little serving table. If you're into carpets then place a big carpet between entry and the balcony. And decorate the balcony beautifully so that on entering the home you will be greeted with a beautiful balcony view.
