Hello Rukhsar, The base cabinet is anywhere between 28-34 inches depending on the height of the homeowners. From thereon the bottom of the wall cabinets start with a gap of 18-24 inches. The wall cabinets are usually not made until ceiling in indian kitchens. They are of 24-30 inches height. However, taking cues from the western designs some people prefer making the wall cabinets upto ceiling. You should take the call based on your storage requirements. Sangita, There is another option, which involves some additional costs.It's called a transom window. It will make the door appear bigger and also offer ventilation . Usually, it is made in the same frame but it can also be added later on. Check with your designer if it she can add it now. Some images are attached for your reference.You can also add moldings to the final frame to increase the height visually. We wouldn't recommend you bringing the ceiling down using a false ceiling.
