Hi Manish, 1- Runners are a better value for money than telescopic channels. Channels have a better load bearing, and have a lock which does not let the unit fall even if pulled nearly out. If you don't see these two as you requirements you can go for runners. Check the load requirements and get a suitable load runner/channel. If you foresee some drawer to be quite heavy then telescopic/quadro/tandem boxes will be better. 2. PVC boards as such do not have any drawbacks for use in kitchen. Just make sure your guys have worked with them earlier. 3. Wire frame baskets are lighter, readymade, readily available and provide more space and also require lesser work. If you are more of a detail cleaner then it will definitely require more efforts for others it requires lesser efforts for cleaning them. It's a subjective opinion. Tentatively you can have a platform on the 6' wall with 21" depth do you can provide 16" deep baskets and one full height cabinet which can accommodate your microwave and other utilities. You will get around 42" of platform for hot plate, a sink etc.

Hi Ramyashree, Kitchens are the spaces which require plenty of planning and storage options. They also have to be flexible with number of people using them - helpers and owners. You have a very interesting layout and multiple options can be planned based on your need. For your kitchen, I would recommend a breakfast counter adjacent to the open end of the counter facing the dining area. 1. The extended breakfast counter will act like a serving counter. When having your meals, you would want to immediately serve the warm food from the serving counter and not walk inside the kitchen. This is a good practice as you can serve your guests quicker and in a much organized manner. While your meals are on the serving counter, the kitchen is available for other activites like cleaning or preparing of additional meals. 2. Island counters are only helpful if you have a much bigger kitchen as it serves as a break between two platforms which are far apart. In your case, it will form a hinderance.  3.
