Living Room Help
Comments (11)16' long is a lot of room. Can you post a pic of the rest of the room? Remove every door you can. Every doorway does not need one and doing this one simple thing will remove a ton of bulk and make your space feel more open - no need to remove the hardware if you think you might want the doors back sometime in the future. Are you up for painting the walls and possibly the trim? Is this a sectional? If so, you might have to split it in order to get it to fit. The curtain into the bedroom is a good thing. I have used that idea, I love it, and I am not from India! Change them out for a lighter color and add panels to the ones you have - make them at least 3x fuller than the doorway. Pull them all over to the hinge side of the frame after the door has been removed. Your pictures need to be rehung and you can address that once you have found a furniture arrangement that works....See MoreNeed help in drawing dining plannning
Comments (3)Hi, You don't say whether construction is completed and you've moved in yet or if you're going from this plan only. If so it's a good idea to live in a space for a while before knowing if your changes are really necessary. And you can change around your dining/drawing areas easily until you feel right about it. I'm not so sure if it would be a good idea to chop up the space like that, and the two furniture arrangements serve amply to define the spaces. If you are finding a real privacy inconvenience then here is a nicer solution i think. A semi transparent double sliding door like this across the study area opening would give enough privacy while at the same time allowing light to show through and not totally closing off the space :...See MoreNeed help with the Electrical layout of my new flat

Comments (11)I think I am certainly quite late to reply on this post but nevertheless will put my suggestions here. Go for 2 loveseats in a light/neutral colour against the 7 ft and 15 ft wall. Opposite the 15 ft wall you could put a nice upholstered bench in contrast/printed fabric. Also for a warm glow put a nice standing lamp in the corner between both sofas. You can place a nice mirror on the TV wall and put a nice shelf beneath it and place a lamp there with few knick knacks if the door opens outside in the balcony or is sliding. Also, keep two upholstered ottomans below the mirror which can be pulled for extra seating when required. Place a low height coffee table small one like a 2x2 ft....See MoreJonathan
