Bathroom wainscoting and window height

last year
Hi. Thanks for any input on this. I'm renovating the bath in a seventy-year-old house. I'm trying to stick with timeless details so it's once and done. I want to use bead board wainscot. I have beadboard wainscot d in the kitchen which i like. Two questions I'd love your thoughts on if you dont mind:
1. Old tile cladding set at 42 inches high. Window is also at about 42 inches. I need to stick with a beadboard kit and these are 32" plus some inches for moldings, but in any case, there will be a gap beneath the window. What do you think about that?
2. I realize beadboard is a trend of late. Trends are soon disdained because we humans are funny.
At any rate, I'm inclined towards it. I'm not used to a plain wall in there as i just took tile down. I thiink a divided wall - as with wainscot gives those color-against-white options, etc. and stripes just look subtly classy.
3. I want to avoid overly cottage-core, though this is actually a bit of an urban cottage.
Thanks for your thoughts.
