If you enhance the stairway with handsome handrails, it could become a major attraction feature at your entrance, rather than something to hide. It would be even more attractive, and a more comfortable climb, if the stairway went back and forth with several landings between, on the way to the top, and a lot safer for you, your children, the dog, and your mother-in-law, as well as the many friends, who will come to be welcomed for a closer look at your new spaces. So you're running two threads on this space? I think you'll be happier with the responses if you stick to one thread for the entire makeover, as it is all inter-dependent - foyer - living - dining. Now that I know that the living dining are together I'd suggest you use measurements from the blocked space above the windows to determine stripe width in the dining space if you go with the wide horizontal stripes I suggested. The pattern is already set for you if you take the measurements. You could also make the stripes the width of your lower window section, or half of it, but use the horizontal lines already in your space to determine the other stripes you may add.

Respected Sir, as i can see..there is no way for water to go down the way.so please give a slope over there ..in form of a sloping roof or just a slight slope. than all is okay. and there as you wont face any leakage problem by the roof.

I know all the houses in side would be beautiful, but went with the last one as the tiles outside give me enough info to have an idea of how beautiful ( if not beautiful) at least layout wise and material wise, how it would be, Now, can we see the inside please? hehe*
