Living room makeover
Comments (50)Susan, I find that people often make their coffee tables too low and too small. Measure the height of your sofa cushion and pick a coffee table that is a similar height. Also, in the layout you posted above the room would look better with a larger coffee table. Even as long as your sofa, or close to it. Let me know if you need one custom built, it easier to get the right thing for your room than you may think. Here is my etsy store if you end up needing one custom built. www.etsy.com/shop/MetalTreeFurniture...See Morewardrobe makeover
Comments (4)Hello Durga, I hope you are doing well. Open wardrobes are a great option, however, you should also know that they can be a bit difficult to maintain, especially if you have pets or kids. One thing you can do without affecting the spaciousness of the room is install pretty curtains over the wardrobe, like so .. With the layout you have shown, you can also add a mini dressing as well + curtains. So the upmost shelf will have plants/ any other decor you want, whereas the back part can be used for storage. And when you aren't getting ready, you can just pull the curtains below the plants. As shown below (Click the link for pictures) So the first column would be hanger rods, possibly two rows, you can store other items/ clothing in the middle rack and the last column would be a Mirror - A full length or a medium sized one with table and some storage as shown below - However, do add a lighting option above the mirror for better illumnation, possible off-white rather than white, since it closely mimics daylight. A mirror will also make your room look bigger. The following is another option that you can easily implement with your current wardrobe layout You can also use some wallpaper or beautiful wrapping papers (Fabindia has some very beautiful ones) to give a lovely backdrop to your wardrobe! Hope this helps!...See MoreHall Balcony Sliders - whether to remove or not - design advice
Comments (8)Thanks for your response . I am not planning to get the walls removed . Just the window panels . If the panels are removed - it would become a flat surface . Not sure how good would that look - may be with curtains on . Curtains may not have any back rest / Support as it would be hollow inside Not sure if you got me right - else shall contact you tomorrow...See MorePrivacy Feature as Vertical Garden or Creepers for Building Exterior
Comments (3)Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, it definitely sounds like a good idea... just need to check on the cost factor, labor charges etc. considering the steep height of 3 walls, all together on all 3 sides. It would definitely cut down on water consumption & maintainance costs that would go with the vertical gardens....See Moretgross39
